| Directions:
On a city map of San Francisco you will see Baker Beach marked at the north west section of the city. There is a public transport bus that stops right by the beach. Once on the beach walk north (to the right). On a busy day you will right away notice a lot of topfreedom and as you continue you will see more and more nude folks mixed in with "textilers". After 10 minutes you will reach the end of the beach and the area that is the most nude.
|
Environment:Those really hot weekend sunny days that pack the beach are actually not all that frequent here, though days that are warm enough to be nude can happen throughout the year. Fog is a dominant weather feature along the coast and many days remain overcast and cool. But sooner or later the fog lifts and some of that famous California sunshine makes an appearance. The surf is usually too rough for swimming.
Facilities: Washrooms by the parking lot.
|
History/Status: The clothing-optional status is official and the beach is patroled for security.
Parking: The beach has extensive parking facilities but they will fill to capacity on sunny days. Arrive early or take the bus.
Accommodation: You're in the city.
