Plage de Pampelonne, near Saint Tropez, France

This is a massive and very busy beach that goes on for kilometers and holds thousands of people at high season. Nude use seems to be limited to a short section just south of the "Liberty Bar Restaurant". About half the beach-goers are nude here. Be aware that this is mainly a textile beach, but unlike similar situations in North America, there don't seem to be any "gawkers". There may be other areas where you will find nudists amoungst the regular crowd as I did not explore the entire length of beach.

Directions: From St. Tropez follow signs saying "Ramatuelle". You will soon be driving south on the D 93. Turn left at the first side-road to "Plage de Pampelonne". Further along there are other side-roads to this very long beach, but the first turn-off is closest to the nudist portion. History/Status: Established Environment: In the summer you will usually have "perfect" Cote d'Azur weather. Facilities: Washrooms, showers, bars and restaurants. Parking: Large pay-parking lots. Accommodation: Lots of camping here and resorts in the general area.
